Carmix after one year and 1500 hours of concrete production for a decorative precast products in Waco, TX.

Back in July 2021 we delivered a brand new Carmix 3500TC to our client in Waco, Texas.

At the time, our client was planning his business expansion into the southern regions of the USA and was in the process of organizing a new production site.

Now we return to the jobsite after almost 18 months of operations and more than 1500 working hours on Carmix 3500TC.

For the past 18 months, carmix had been a sole source of concrete for the whole factory in Waco, TX and managed to produce thousands of cubic yards of concrete of various properties, such as component ratios, various color additives etc. This also allowed it to start operations on the new jobsite very quickly as Carmix was ready to start mixing right after its arrival at the site compared to a stationary batching plant which takes weeks to set-up and get running.

Castohn has experienced a significant transformation with the adoption of Carmix. The utilization of this cutting-edge technology has enabled the company to rapidly and efficiently produce high-quality concrete products. During our recent visit, our primary objective was to perform the 1500-hour maintenance procedures on the Carmix. This included the replacement of all fluids (such as hydraulic, transmission, and engine oil) and filter elements. Additionally, we inspected major components for any signs of wear and replaced the hand accelerator cable as necessary. Following the completion of this service, we are confident that the Carmix will continue to operate smoothly for at least another 1000 hours, until the next major maintenance procedures are required.
